Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded on June 4, 1992. After the founding and te apperance of sportsmn and womwn of our country in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, we recived official recognition from the International Olympic Committee, which made its decision at the session of its Executive Committee in Monaco on September 24, 1993.
OC BiH, since December 8, 2002, also officially the largest umbrella organization in the sports field, and the first sports institution registered at the Ministry of Justice of BiH, at the Council of Ministers of BiH, whwrw national sports unions and federations come together. OC BiH as member of the International Olympic Committee is required to rspect the laws of the Olympic Charter and decisions of the IOC as the supreme body of the olympic movement.
The NOC BiH as a member of the IOC is required in his work to respect the rules of the Olympic Charter, the Statute of the IOC, the IOC Code of Ethics and, the world anti-doping code, and the Joint statement from Lausanne, The Law on Associations and Foundations of BiH and the Law on Sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The NOC BiH has 7 permanent employees divided by departments: Department of Sports, Department of International Relations, Department of Administration, Department of Finance, Department of Marketing, Department of Arts and Culture.
